Meara were selected
to collaborate
and take part
in Dance Film
Academy.
Dance
Film Academy provides
a residency for
directors and
choreographers
with experience
of working in
dance for the
camera. During
the residency
five teams of
directors, choreographers
and composers
spend time developing
a pitch for a
30-minute dance
film for television.
At the end of
the project team
was awarded a
production prize-in
the region of
£100,000-to
make their film.
The residency
also included
a series of master-classes,
and the whole
process was filmed
for a 60-minute
documentary that
aired on BBC4,
prior to the screening
of the the winning
film. |
