CANDOCO is a leading contemporary dance company of disabled and non- disabled dancers. DONLON Based at the Saarlaendisches Staatstheater (State Theatre) in Saarbruecken, the Donlon Dance Company is a young, exciting, innovative company. IT DANSA is the young dance company of the Theatre School in Barcelona. Founded in 1997, it was included in the framework of the Theatre School’s post-graduate dance course. Great choreographers who have formed part of the company’s repertoire include: Jirí Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Rui Horta, Nacho Duato, Ramon Oller and Toni Mira. DANZA CONTEMPORANEA DE CUBA with this company, founded in 1959 and directed today by Miguel Iglesias, the modern Cuban has found his own means of comparison with the rest of the world. Rafael will be creating a new work in May 2007 to be premiered later in the year.

GLOUCESTERHIRE YOUTH DANCE COMPANY is the premier Youth Dance Company in Gloucestershire and one of the foremost Youth Dance Companies in the Country. They are made up of those aged between 14 and 20 years of age and are selected by audition. The aim of the company is to inspire those in it to see dance as a possible career and for them to learn a variety of techniques and creative ways of working, which they can then apply, to the rest of their lives.

BALLET CENTRAL tours England, Scotland and Wales, 10,000 miles between March and July performing to approximately 10,000 people each year. The company’s tour gives final-year students unique touring experience prior to gaining professional contract. This year as part of their repertoire they will be performing a section of Linear Remains originally created for Rambert Dance Company.

GLENYS BARTON SCULPTURE FOR PROBE 2005


In summer 2005, Rafael created a 20-minute duet for Antonia Grove and Theo Clinkard for their company PROBE at Hextable Dance in Kent. Richard Whistler the Director of Hextable Dance invited renowned Sculpture maker Glenys Barton to observe Rafael creating the work on Antonia and Theo. As a result Glynys has produced a permanent feature of dance impressions of Rafael’s choreography for Probe. The images show the sculptures on the wall at the PROBE premiere.
